Project developed by: Eco Habitat Assoc. & Glodeanu-Cârlig Parish
The Eco Habitat Association was founded in 2011 and is made of a group of young people with specializations in various fields (architecture, construction, history, arts). We endorse programs which aim to:
•educate the Romanian society as regards sustainable living; •offer concrete, legal and viable, sustainable living alternatives; •promote 'green' building in Romania; •protect the habitat by improving environmental policies.

Nwe website www.naturalbuilders.co.uk has been launched few months ago, good luck and hopefully will prove to be usefull little web.
- from their own home page:
Looking for natural building experience? Keen to learn? We're dedicated to the promotion of natural building through Volunteer Opportunities and Building Courses. Natural building means using techniques and materials that are environmentally sustainable. We list projects and courses on building with environmentally responsive materials such as straw, earth, hemp, lime and timber. These natural materials are pollution free, are energy efficient and when no longer needed can be re-used or returned to the land. We're dedicated to education through practical, hands-on learning of natural building. ENJOY!

I was very lucky to be awarded a Nuffield Farming Scholarship in Feb 2009. I spent a few months visiting bale experts in US, Canada and Europe and many months researching the carbon effects of building v burning straw - the UK government currently subsidise the burning of straw in power stations and I particularly wanted to see just how wrong this practice is. If any one has any government contact to whom I could send this report, please let me know. If anyone would like to apply for a scholarship, the deadline is November each year www.nuffieldinternational.org
