BEST BUILDING PRACTICE INTRODUCTION :

The purpose was to define what is the Best Strawbale Building Practice in Europe. So we have started to compare different methods for building :
  • Load Bearing
  • Infill Technics
  • Wrapping
  • Prefabrication

After a while we have understood that there was not one better than an other... but depending on the countries and
the projects, one of them could be more appropriate because of local factors.
At the end we have defined that the Best Strawable Building Practice in Europe is to ensure - by any appropriate solution - safety with :

  • Moisture
  • Stability
  • Durability

And garanty the high performance of the building regarding :
  • Thermal behavior
  • Sound Insulation
  • Airtightness- Watertightness
  • CO2 Storage
  • Embodied energy
  • Cost and Labour

  • Wrapping from ARTUR (SLOVAKIA)




  • Infill from BOHA and Batinature (FRANCE)
